USPHL Elite Players Of The Week: North Region

North Division

Forward: Jameson Harrington, Bridgewater Bandits

Harrington (‘05/Billerica, Mass.) picked up goals in consecutive wins on Dec. 2 and 3 for the Bandits against the Junior Bruins and Springfield Pics. He also added an assist for a three-point weekend in the two contests. He now has 12 goals and 17 points in 28 games. He helped the Bandits reach the top spot in the North Division this week. 

 

Defense: Kevin Monahan, Bridgewater Bandits

Monahan (‘02/Barnstable, Mass.) scored his fourth goal of the season as the Bandits defeated the Pics on Saturday, and played heads-up defense to help the Pics become the new North Division leader. As of Dec. 8, they held a two-point lead over the Northern Cyclones. 

 

Goaltender: Maximilian Pierce, Northern Cyclones

Pierce (‘04/Harrison Township, Mich.) has been a go-to goalie since Day 1 for the Cyclones. He showed that when he stopped 27 of 29 Islanders Hockey Club shots to get the win over the ‘Clones’ regional rivals, and one of the three teams – along with the Bandits – contending for the North Division lead. Pierce is No. 1 in the league in save percentage at .951, and second in goals against average (1.53) and tied for third in wins (eight)

 

Mid-Atlantic Division

Forward: Peter Petito, P.A.L. Jr. Islanders

Petito had an outstanding week. In two games he posted a 2-1-3 scoring line, helping them get to that overtime win. The former 16U Jr. Islander, an ‘05 from Nesconset, N.Y., has 10 points in 22 games this year. 

 

Defense: Jack Moskowitz, Rockets Hockey Club

The third-year Rocket Moskowitz (‘02/Staten Island, N.Y.) posted a 2-1-3 line in two games played. Moskowitz had a power play goal on Sunday and two third period assists, and also one assist on Saturday to force OT vs. the WBS Knights this weekend. He is at 75 career games with the Rockets. 

 

Goaltender: Lucas Holland, Jersey Hitmen

A second-year USPHL Elite veteran, the ‘04 Holland finished close to a shutout this weekend, making 25 saves on 27 shots in a road win for the Hitmen vs P.A.L. He is currently standing with an 8-4-0-0 record.
