USPHL Elite 2023-24 North Region Players Of The Week

New England Division 

Forward: Luca Tartaglia, Islanders Hockey Club 

Tartaglia (‘05/San Mateo, Calif.) is one of two repeat winners here as he just completely put up a mammoth weekend, scoring three goals and five assists for eight points in four games. He started the BJB Shootout with a 1-2-3 line against College Universel Gatineau. 

 

Defense: James Delaney, Springfield Pics 

Delaney (‘05/Palmer, Mass.) posted three assists as the Pics came back from being down 1-0 to win 6-3 against College Universel Gatineau. He currently has four assists in his three games so far this year. 

 

Goaltender: Shane McKone, Springfield Pics

McKone continues to shine, repeating as a Player of the Week, as he put together a 1-0-0-1 record in the BJB Shootout. He stopped 90 out of 96 shots against for a .938 save percentage over the course of the event, also good for a 2.88 goals against average. 

 

Atlantic Division 

Forward: Patrick Devaney, Jersey Hitmen

Devaney pulled to within one point of the league lead by posting a 5-5-10 line in his four games at the BJB Shootout. The ‘06 from West Caldwell, N.J., helped the Hitmen go 4-0 through the BJB Shootout. 

 

Defense: Aedan Proof, Jersey Hitmen

Proof (‘04/Riverside, Calif.) was a point-per-game performer with a goal and three assists during the Hitmen’s four-game undefeated run at the BJB Shootout. 

 

Goaltender: Joseph Auletti, Rockets Hockey Club 

The ‘05 from Staten Island, N.Y. is in his third USPHL season and is showing that comfort and familiarity with his surroundings, as he stopped 39 shots out of 40 total for a hard-fought victory against an always tough Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights team. Auletti’s .953 save percentage is good for fourth overall among goaltenders with multiple games played.
